I'd just like to give a shoutout to the Rising Dragoon guildies in response to the latest patch disabling gameguard.

First off all I'm sure we are all overjoyed with this. GameGuard was for the most part completly garbage. It caused more problems for legit players and programs then it did for anyone planning on botting/hacking.

GameGuard itself was more or less useless in Aion, or any previous MMO that NCsoft has released (Anyone that played L-2 knows this to be fact) It works like a rookit, hooks 90% of your standard computer processes and screws anything from AV software, web browers to keyboard/mice drivers up.

The NCsoft West team has done an amazing job listening to, communicating with, and following through on the communities wants/needs. To date, pre-release of Aion I can say I have never seen a more responsive dev team on any previous MMO I've played.

With that being said. Aion now has one missing link that needs to be filled for it to hold strong in the MMO market. That link of course is in part ours, and in part NCsoft West's.

Botters/Hackers - We all hate them, we all want them gone, they ruin our game time. On NCsoft's side, it's in their ballcourt to provided an active, caring GM staff to survey for the cheaters, eliminate them, and assit other players. On our side, we need to report them whenever possible. So let's get off our butts and actually report these people when we see them.

I've gone through to many MMO's where I've had guildies say things like "It dosn't matter, they wont do anything about it anyway." I don't want this attitude to carry over to Rising Dragoon. I want to see our legion be active in reporting cheaters, and even people you think are cheaters. Thats right, if you think they are cheating, report them, if they turn out to be legit, no harm done.

With that said I want to thank NCwest for what they have done so far. And hope you all appreicate their service as much as I do, these guys are literally knocking themselves out for us, so lets make sure we do our part as well.
