I think that is how my motherboard fried. My SLI laptop would near burn you with the heat it put out the back. You couldn't keep it on your lap all the time due to the heat.
I have always been a desktop guy. I went laptop for 2 years but when it died I went back to the desktop, just feels more natural to me.

i have a laptop bit i don't care for them at all there always second rate for stats compared to a desktop no matter how much u try a desktop will always be faster simple reason more room ^_^ i would like to see a laptop run three 9800 gtxs lol or the 260+ graphics cards there so frigen big they take up to slots and are the length of the board lol they will remake for laptops but not till way latter down the road by then desktops are already got something new and better but laptops are handy if your always on the run not going to say there crap because there not just for gaming i will never bother with one

o one more thing i would like to see a water cooled laptop lol

The degree of versatility in upgrading desktops is far greater, and like Latex said, the power that a desktop can bring to the table, far exceeds that of any laptop. Yes there are impressive gaming laptops out there, but I'd have to go with desktop as the superior choice.

ya dont get me wrong i mean laptops have there place and are more handy if u take them with you like holidays busnies or even school i HATE moveing my tower lol its like 50lbs lol but ya fo games i cant go with laptops at all

well idk, every game ive played so far gets ~200fps on max at 1920x1200 res

300 in css but thats a relic of a game XD
