Rift gates

Is there a way to find out which ones are up when they say there is a rift up. I have the maps that show where both are. Do they go in order of the numbers/letters.

There is no way to tell which ones are exactly up. Best thing to do is ask LFG. They are usually able to tell you which ones are up.
