Im pretty much the same as Soulan. I have been playing MMOs since Phantasy Star Online. Was a huge Star Wars Galaxies fan till it was changed. Played WOW for a while but stopped playing because of schedule conflicts.

• About Me: I am 30 years old, married with 1 child. Been playing online games since Final Fantasy 11 was released to Australia. I still play FFXI occasionally as it holds a special place in my heart as my first online experience. Also play World of Warcraft since Australian release, with multiple level 80 chars. Very loyal and supportive player, been in 2 guilds in WoW over the years and a skilled player and guild officer in both guilds. I don't work due to disability so have lots of free time I spend on all sorts of online gaming. Aion appealed to me not only for the stunning visuals, but also the high level of customization and the art style which I always admired.

Tried out many combinations in CBT #6 after pre-order collector's edition. Finally decided my main will be an Elyos sorceror, for aesthetic reasons and also because I have played a mage in WoW for many years and love the playstyle. I may also branch into the templar/gladiator at some stage, though I found for some reason Asmodean starter areas seem to drop the better loot for this class.

• Previous Games: FFXI, WoW, Lotro, CoH/CoV, EQ2, Atlantica Online, Lineage 2, Tabula Rasa
• Raid Experience: Have not raided in FFXI as such. WoW raided vanilla to Blackwing Lair, Burning Crusade to Kael'Thas pre-nerf, CoT-Hyjal post nerf, Lich King raided to Ulduar
• How long have you been playing mmos?: Since whenever FFXI launched in English so at least 5+ years.

• What are your in-game goals: I would describe myself as a more PVE focused player. As such, exploring the world, crafting, and doing the dungeons is what I want to achieve. Having said that I played Tabula Rasa for many months and am not afraid of PVP, and Fortress defense etc sounds great, just my main goal won't be to get the 'best' of PVP.

• Have you discussed your application with a member if so, who?: No

• Why do you want to join Rising Dragoon?: I like the sound of your mission statement and goals. I want to see what the game has to offer but not at the expense of being pwn robots who do everything at full speed and super min/max statcraft. I have nothing against those sort of people, but there is a place for it, and when most of your guild/legion etc is not that type you cannot expect them to change for the minority.
• What can you bring to Rising Dragoon? I can bring a mature helpful spirit to the legion. And a strong support in both crafting and PVE endeavors. A willing participant in PVP (just dont expect the best hehe)
• Are you applying as Casual, Hardcore or Both: Call me semi-hardcore , I put in the time and effort, but not so hardcore as to scrabble after a 0.1% stat increase or belittle people who are happy to play without the best cookie-cutter spec and gear.
• Do you have ventrilo?(a must have): Yes, and a microphone, with the caveat that your prime time is probably when my daughter and wife are asleep . I do try to participate as much as i can.

I've been playing MMO's for 6 years. I started with Final Fantasy XI, and played that for three years in one of the most sucessfull engame linkshells. In ffxi i had a Nin, Rdm, Blm, Whm, Smn maxed. I then went to WoW and played a lot of endgame in the wotlk. I maxed Druid and Warlock. I've been playing lotro lately as a minstril in the best engame guild on my server. I'm married and I dont work so I have alot of time.

I will be on the open beta for Aion. I havent spoken with any members from this legion but you guys seem very organized and motivated towards endgame. I dont have any specific goals except to be in a sucessfull endgame legion.
